Why don't you compile your 4-5 threads into one thread about your concerns?
Dorms are completely different depending on building. Anywhere from 4 people sharing a bathroom to a floor depending on where you are as a freshman.
There are many pictures available on Brown's webpage and around the rest of the internet of campus-- feel free to use Google.
Brown has a great mix of suburban, campus, and urban feel. We have our own little part of Providence that resembles a college town, but a 5 minute walk down a hill and you're in the heart of downtown Providence.
My D is currently in a first-year dorm which is grouped so that about 8 people use a bathroom. It's not bad, in that it is a bathroom built like a home bathroom: one toilet, one bathtub/shower, one sink. There are several on each floor, so I would guess that even if the one closest to her room is in use, she can find an empty one. It is better than the common multi-unit bathrooms. I don't know the situation in other dorms.
