Hi, I have been invited to both ADOCH and TWW and I was wondering what is the difference? What are they even? Are they special tours and sneak-peeks for students who have been admitted? Do I get to stay overnight and experience Brown thoroughly in these programs?
yes i am attending the whole time. when i visited u chicago i stayed from thursday until saturday, i think staying longer will give you more chances to see "Things," not feel rushed, and talk to more people about the university.
ADOCH (April 15-16)is for all regular admits and is about 24 hours of loosely structured events with prefrosh staying with current students overnight. You can visit classes and generally hang out. TWW (after ADOCH) is for so-called minority students. I don't know all that happens at these events, but I would guess you can find a schedule of events either in your packet or on the 2012 admitted students site.
People I know who went to TWW (at orientation) were disappointed. One girl I talked to said there was the same MC for both TWW and regular orientation, but at TWW he acted more 'ethnic', whatever that means. As soon as the regular program started, he went back to 'talking normally'. Oy.
