@obstinate,
Yeah, it did go down slightly. From what I've heard, it would've been a larger drop, but there were fewer PLME applicants, bringing their acceptance rate up, almost negating the drop in non-PLME ED applicants.

Hey, people who got in Early Decision... have you received a follow-up from Brown yet? I haven't gotten anything since my acceptance packet in December.

I got a letter from the economics department, since I listed that on my application as my likely major. I know the english department did the same thing, but I'm not sure if any of the other departments did. Other than that, I haven't gotten anything though since the acceptance letter. I think they send us everything on March 31 that they send the RD accepted students (except the acceptance letters because that, of course, would be redundant). That should contain a lot more information about housing and soforth, although I hear that there's a steady flow of information sent to us all through the summer.

@mochabear

On the google books page for Acing the College Application, how do you actually look at the internal pages of the book? Help is appreciated!

Also congrats to all who got accepted to Brown!

supersizeme--
(i know i'm not mochabear but) google books probably won't let you look at the whole interior of the book, so just try getting it from your library. i didn't bother with the suggested ec list, but i did read this book and it's not really worth buying.

Yeah, like I said, it's not worth buying
I posted the link because, while you can't access the whole book, you can access the page that has the sample activity grid, which was the part I was referencing.
The rest of the book is very simplistic information that you can easily garner from college confidential (tips on what kind of programs to do while in high school, how to focus your essays, how to go about getting recommendations, etc).

How do I get my decision? Every link I try to click on brings me to a page that says the decision will be available on March 31, 2009, after 5pm EDT. Any ideas?
