Now it's time to give my BROWN pen a proper funeral. (Part of me died along with it too )
By the way, I won't be applying to Brown Grad School. No hard feelings, Brown.

General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc: if I could bet on it, I would've bet I would get rejected. getting waitlisted is really frustrating because on the one hand it means there must be something they liked about you and gives you a small glimmer of hope, but on the other it's still a tacit rejection that makes you wonder what it was that could've pushed you over the edge. I plan on accepting a spot on the waitlist, but not investing a huge amount of emotional energy on thinking I'll get in because I know the chances are astronomical. I'm pretty happy with going to Wesleyan, anyway. Congrats to the people that were accepted, but for the people who weren't, I'm sure you'll be happy anyway at whatever school you choose.

Reflection- Strengths:My essays were very, very creative. I spent a lot of time on them. I am ridiculously active in my school. I dream big. I write poetry pretty well, I suppose.
- Weaknesses: Teacher Recommendations, Ethnicity..
- Why you think you were waitlisted: I really have no idea. I'm stunned by this one.
- Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Accepted: Columbia, Amherst, Williams, Grinnell, Tufts, UT; Waitlisted: Stanford, Princeton, Brown; Rejected: Harvard, Yale
General Comments: Dear God, this one stings the most. Brown is my favorite, favorite school. My best advice is not to listen to other people. Every single person I talked to told me Brown would "love" me and loved "creative, artistic" types like me. Psh. Don't get too emotionally attached to schools, it hurts.
