OFFICIAL Brown University RD Decisions - Class of 2013

OK. I'm bored, and we're down to about a week until Brown releases decisions, so it's time for the RD decision thread to go up as well. (also because I already have the same template set up for MIT, Stanford, and Chicago)

As we're mature high school seniors, we all should know the drill by now. ALWAYS remove the space in the brackets.

Here's the template, and remember to post stats:

Quote:
[ size=+2][ color=green][ b]Decision: ACCEPTED [ /b][ /color][ /size]
[ size=+2][ color=orange][ b]Decision: WAITLISTED [ /b][ /color][ /size]
[ size=+2][ color=red][ b]Decision: REJECTED[ /b][ /color][ /size]

[ b]Stats:[ /b][ list]
[ *] SAT I (by section):
[ *] SAT IIs:
[ *] ACT:
[ *] APs:
[ *] IBs:
[ *] GPA:
[ *] Rank:
[ *] Other stats (AMC/AIME/USAMO, PhO, ChO, etc):
[ /list][ b]Subjective:[ /b][ list]
[ *] ECs listed on app:
[ *] Job/Work Experience:
[ *] Essays (subject and responses):
[ *] Teacher Recs:
[ *] Counselor Rec:
[ *] Hook (if any, such as RSI or URM):
[ /list][ b]Location/Person:[ /b][ list]
[ *] State or Country:
[ *] School Type, Average Stats of School (if available):
[ *] Ethnicity:
[ *] Gender:
[ /list][ b]General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc:[ /b]

Please, please, please refrain from discussing or whining about waiting for or recieving your admissions decisions!!! It wastes specious space, and it makes finding the decisions on this thread tedious and difficult. Any posts that are not relevant to Brown's decisions (aka whether Brown accepts/rejects/waitlists you) will be subject to deletion.

If you need to spill, do so here: The OFFICIAL Brown RD Decisions "Discussion" Thread - Class of 2013

Last but not least, good luck! Most of us will need it, and may the force be with you...

Note to mods: Please lock and sticky-note this thread until the day decisions are posted. Muchos gracias!

  • Rank: 24/450
Subjective:
  • ECs listed on app: student council, school chorus, select chorus, rimea, model legislature, tons of volunteering, school musical, among other things. i'm too excited to remember them all.
  • Job/Work Experience: haven't worked in two years, but i've held previous positions as a movie theater concession worker and a grocery clerk at a supermarket.
  • Essays (subject and responses): the best i've ever written. i wrote it in the form of a cookbook recipe and used the directions as the body of my essay.

General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc: stunned. i'm not the typical accept, so i think it speaks to the fact that CHANCE THREADS ARE ********. if i'd posted these stats in a chance me thread i would have got burned up. and don't tell me it was affirmative action because i still had to compete against thousands of minority applicants with 4.0s and 2400s >:[ congrats to other accepts, hope to see you in the fall!
