guitarclassical, did you receive an email from Brown around May 5th, asking you whether you intend to stay on the waiting list?
I received one. It says, "We have not received a formal notice from you regarding your status on our Waiting List. We are assuming that you have finalized your plans for next year and do not wish to remain on Brown's Waiting List. Unless you reply online, or contact us immediately at (401) 863-2378, we have to remove your application from consideration as a Waiting List candidate. The instructions for your online reply to remain on Brown’s waiting list follow below."
Actually, I sent several update emails to Brown in April, stating my strong interest in joining Brown. Obviously, they didn't regard my update letters as official notice.
