Who is going to apply here?

I can't wait to (hopefully) attend here along with the rest of you! I know many of you did ED, I wish you the best of luck. I hope I can still get in RD!

I applied ED as I'm sure you know.

I definitely hope to see you in August! I will post my status as soon as I get the notification.

I applied ED also. We should have some sort of Bryn Mawr class of 2009 meet after we find out if we got in. I really hope we all get accepted!!!!!! Only a week left....

That brings up a good point...exactly how long until The Letter? And what size is the acceptance letter/package?

I've said this before, but my interviewer told me her ED acceptance came about a week before Dec. 15 and it wasn't a big package, but it wasn't an envelope.

So...do we only have 2 girls applying ED on this board?

Oh yeah, if you haven't seen this yet, check it out.

Maybe we are the only two!!! Then they'd have to take us....

I'm guessing we'll hear from Bryn Mawr between this Friday and Tuesday after, but that's a complete guess.
I live about 45 mins. away and drove up yesterday morning to see campus again (obsessive???) and it looked sooo pretty, even though it was cold. I want to go sooo badly.
If anybody gets their "Letter," please post!

Sorry for clogging up this thread, but I just found this

http://www.brynmawr.edu/admissions/a...l#Notification

which says "mid-December." Hmmm, does that mean the 15th, or later than that?

I'm not unfortunately. I want to do ED 2, but I probably won't because of financial reasons. My parents can't pay 40,000/year, and they want to make sure the schools I'm accepted to, they can afford. I might go schedule an appt. with the Fin Aid office, I'm not sure.

Wow, that's not fair, winter ED gets notification less in about 3 weeks. AS for us...holiday break is the week after Dec 15, so I would assume it would be around there. But yeah, I'm hoping I'll get my letter in about a week.

My parents can't pay 40000/year either, but one of the (only) reasons you're allowed to break ED agreements is if they don't meet your financial need, so I applied anyway.

Are you serious? That's good news . I might be able to convince my parents to let me do ED 2, if they heard that, and I need ED, cuz i heard it adds points to your SAT (mine isn't too good). Thanks for your help! Just wondering what other schools did you apply 2? I was thinking maybe Haverford as well, but I'm not sure. TTYL!

I am definitely not good enough to be accepted to Haverford. I don't even like the school! (shh, don't tell). But here is my list of other schools:

Wellesley
Mt. Holyoke
Oberlin
Macalester
Lawrence
Ohio State
William & Mary
McGill
Univ. of British Columbia

I've heard Wellesley and Mt. Holyoke are pretty amazing, but decided not to apply cause they're a little to far from my family and boyfriend (I know, I'm a dork). Have you visited either? Did you like them as much as Bryn Mawr? If they're similiar to Bryn Mawr and I get deferred maybe I'll apply.

I was thinking about applying to Haverford also but I think there's no way I'd get in, and did not really like it when I visited. When I visited Bryn Mawr, a girl told me the stereotype they have of Haverford students is that they areall jocks who partied a lot, and they seemed correct. That was just my impression and might be off...then again, after seeing Bryn Mawr, not many of colleges look good

My list of other schools is:
Villanova
University of Delaware
Loyola (MD)
St. Mary's (MD)
Washington (MD)

That seems like a good list. I'm kinda limited to where I can go because my parents don't want me to go more than 1 or 2 hours away from home my first year. Luckily I live near a lot of good schools. I like Villanova, but I think there financial aid program isn't that great, I'm not sure though. Yea I don't like Haverford that much, I just thought if I didn't get into BMC I might get in there- then I realized it was more competitive . I still think BM is my first choice.
