Prospective Transfer students?

Hey everyone, I opened this thread thinking why not we start our discussion on transfer exclusively.

Do BMC post financial "aid to do list" in virtual brynmawr? I had none there. But I got an email asking for something and that my application was incomplete.

good idea!

yes, there's a financial aid "to do list" in there. a few weeks ago i had two pieces outstanding and they were posted on there.

does anyone know if we'll be able to check our decisions in there as well? i emailed the admissions office about that but didn't receive a reply.

in response to your question on the bmc 2012 thread: i'm transferring from penn state. what about you? what about everyone else?

and has anyone been accepted anywhere else yet? is bmc your top choice or are you leaning towards somewhere else?

Is there a different virtual brynmawr for financial aid or is the same thing?

Yay I'm not the only one! I'm a freshman at the University of Florida, which is pretty much exactly like Penn State. I'm also applying to Carleton and Wesleyan, but I'm not sure which school I prefer since I really like them all for different reasons.

I like many other colleges, but since I've applied to bryn mawr only, I can't help saying it the "top choice" or "one and only choice."

Another prospective transfer student...

Hi,

Wondering when we are all going to hear the acceptance or rejection decision... I had emailed the transfer coordinator awhile back and she said (quoting) "decisions should be available towards the end of April."

And today is the 29th of April, and I am becoming a bit antsy!!

I am not sure either whether the decisions will be available through virtual Bryn Mawr.

Good luck all!

blah! way to push back the deadline, admission officers.
on 4-23 the transfer coordinator told me the decisions would be out "within the next two weeks". so, by that math, they'll be out by May 7. !

oh yah, i read the article. good one! coz it juxtaposes freshmen and transfers. I've experienced that kind of a deal before even here at my present school . my high school credits are transferred (that's weird though)since i'm an int'l student it was really overwhelming, it is now as well. My case was little bit different. I was sophomore considering my major courses but since I didn't come from liberal arts background, I had to take all general ed courses. Well, I like experiencing, but hell it has been too harsh here. I really wanna get outta here as soon as possible.

But first I need to get in BMC....oh starting to panic.

sounds weird when I say I "need to get outta here" and "I applied to only one college" right? yes, things do not work out that well as I think. I don't know. I can't afford to go to other schools. I am looking for woman's college. If I can't get in Bryn Mawr probably I'm gonna end up here. Coz I can't pay, where I am studying right now, it is too cheap after scholarship that I don't have to worry about money at all. I thought, since I am not planning to go to summer school this year, I might look for other colleges if any, with rolling deadlines or with on the spot admission. I don't know, that's crazy to say. But my reality sucks! Maybe it's all because it has been 7 months since I've been to the US, and not yet used to school admissions. whatsoever.... I love to hope.
