who thinks they're going?

I think I'm going! The financial aid I got is AMAZING. I'm still in shock..anyway, who thinks they might end up becoming a Bryn Mawrter?

p.s. Anyone going to the open campus day? (I am!) I'm so excited

Right now I'm stuck between Bryn and Barnard~ and there are still letter to get. My FA is good at both colleges, but better at Bryn, so that'll probably play in.

My D's wavering between Smith and Bryn Mawr. Smith: Better vibe (only one visit, tho.) Bryn Mawr: Better for her major, more money!, nice traditions, chance to mingle with the opposite sex.

But then there's that vibe....

She's away at a drama thing this weekend but will definitely be at the Bryn Mawr gathering.

Still...is anyone having a nervous breakdown deciding?

firefly- yea, I feel you, Im still waiting for Barnard but I dont think Im getting in .

bubbles- yes, I am! especially b/c im waiting on 3 more schools, today i found out i got into holy cross and FAMU, so now Im just waiting for the packages! Ive been accepted at 7 schools so far, rejected at 2, and the other 3 Ill find out this week..its soo nerve wracking, especially since all 7 ive been accepted to gave me good financial aid! but Bryn Mawrs package was the BEST! my parents would only have to pay $500 if i went there..so, Im taking that into consideration DEFINETLY.

HopefulRae- yay! Cool beans!

Bryn Mawr is rigorous academically you know. You'll graduate a true intellectual. So you'll have to live up to your name, Superwoman. I know you can do it!

I might go as well. I couldn't have received a better offer of Financial Aid. Is Open Campus Day opened for international students too, or just for the US ones?

bubbles- Thanks! yes, I love the intellectual excitement the teachers spark from their students. I'm hoping I can be superwoman on campus lol.

blanche2negru- me too!! I feel the same way. It's like how can you turn down an offer like that...I have no idea if its only for those in the US, you should contact the Admissions Office and ask. I don't want to give you the wrong answer

@blanche2negru: According to the open campus day page (open_campus), it says the event is for admitted students, so I'm sure internationals can come. That would be terrible if they couldn't. XD

Thanks!
However, I just wonder if it's worthy in my situation: it takes at least 12 hours to get there by plane. Moreover, on 19th April we celebrate the Easter - I'd miss it.

If finances are an issue at all or there's something else you would rather do, you don't need to come to Open Campus Days. You will learn everything you need to know during ISO and Custom's Week. (I will be one of your ISO assistants by the way )

On the other hand, it is nice to visit the campus before you move in. I didn't get a chance to do that two years ago, but I think it would have made packing and planning a lot less stressful because I would have known what to expect: What does the campus look like? Or the rooms? What do the dining halls serve? What's the easiest way to get to campus from the airport? (That one is a lot easier to explore when you are not carrying 4 pieces of luggage!) Where on campus do I go to get my keys?

But many international students don't get to visit the campus, so don't stress out over it. It's a cool feeling to get here in late August and think, "So this is where I will spend the next four years of my life. Awesome!"

I'm definitely coming to open campus!! Just the thought of meeting potential classmates is so appealing
I love the Tshirt designs and just the fact that they had us vote for the best one. Bryn Mawr is so awesome <3

Right now it is my number one choice. I was waitlisted at Bates (originally my first choice) and I'm waiting to hear back from Barnard and Holy Cross. I'm also going to attempt to get off the waitlist at Bates, but I doubt that is going to happen.
