What do you think about this?

Hi Everyone,

For the past week, I've gotten an e-mail to participate in the Bucknell Chat and I did, but the interesting thing was there was a button on the side bar of the window where we were chatting.

and it said "home", so i clicked it and it linked to the "congratulations, you have been accepted to Bucknell University" page.

What do you think this means? Am I in if i got invited to the chat?

Thanks

I didn't get invited to this chat :-( .... Was the chat based on a choice of major, or just on the school overall?

why would they have a chat w/ applicants they were NOT going to accept, especially this close to decision-time?

I'd guess you were invited b/c they want to make sure they keep your interest b/c they intend to send you an acceptance shortly.

I didn't get invited. It's obvs. for the top of the acceptance pool and for specific ppl that Bucknell wants to attract for whatever reason. Those are the ppl that the University needs to maintain contact with to try to pursuade them into maltricating. The total acceptance pool is a couple hundred kids, how would a chat function if everyone showed up? This is the same reason they send out those personalized letters.

I emailed them, asking why I didn't recieve an invitation, and they basically said the chats were based on certain students' interests. This would explain why waleed got a international student chat, as well as why some people got more than 1 invitation.

I didn't recieve an invitation, but based on the e-mail response, I figured that the reason i didn't was just because I didn't fit into any of the groups which the chats were based around.

Hope this helps calm the worries of those who didn't get one.
