Villanova. Villanova Villanova Villanova Villanova.

I got accepted to the Villanova School of Business EA this year, and got accepted to Bucknell on Friday. While Bucknell is a "better" school (it is more selective, I'm not sure it has a better reputation though), it does not have a Business focus; there is not even a business school I don't think. I applied to the School of Arts and Sciences at Bucknell with a proposed Management major. Villanova's business school is ranked #11 in the country (above Georgetown's, BC's, etc), and Bucknell doesn't even have a business school. It is SO much easier to get a job out of Villanova's business program then with a Bachelor of the Arts degree from Bucknell. Employers look to hire graduates from the Villanova School of Business; it is really well-respected.

Or at least, that's how I approached it when I made my decision between Bucknell and Villanova Good luck! Can't help you much with Lehigh though.

Bucknell has a School of Management that is within the College of Arts and Sciences. The school offers a BS in Business Administration with concentrations in management or accounting. The mean salary for BSBA grads from 07 is $50,840.

I got accepted at Nova and Bucknell and am still waiting to hear from Lehigh. Bucknell is offering me significantly more in financial aid (about 12000/year). I would really prefer to go to Nova, but I don't know if it's worth the money.

both bucknell and villanova publish salary reports for recent graduates (which can be found on the respective schools career services site). the numbers are virtually identical despite bucknell having a moderately higher response rate (93% to 80%), which tends to depress averages (lower-paid graduates are less likely to respond). as such, i wouldnt include employment outlook in your decision.

at that point, you have to ask yourself whether four years at villanova is worth $50,000 more than four years at bucknell. short of being wealthy enough such that $50,000 isnt a big deal, that would be difficult to justify for anyone being realistic about just how much $50,000 is.
