Campus Tour experiences

Hi everyone, my daughter has just finished up her freshman year at Bucknell (absolutely LOVES it, btw). She is currently a tour guide. We were talking about her experiences as a guide and she mentioned that she really appreciates feedback from "prospies" and their parents. So, I was wondering if any of you had any comments you'd like to share relating to your campus tour. Good things? Things you'd have liked to see and didn't? Info that wasn't shared that you wish had been? Interesting/amusing anecdotes? Suggestions for improvement? Thanks!!

p.s. I've looked on the Visits report page and didn't find much...

I never took a tour of Bucknell. I showed up on admitted students day, walked around a little bit, and now here I am a rising junior...scary. I remember my freshman year, a tour guide (who lived on my hall) brought a father and daughter through my hall and showed them my room. It was kind of early in the morning actually and there were three of us sleeping in the double. The father wondered why there was a third person sleeping on the floor; the third person was sexiled, and it made a bit of an awkward moment for the guide as you can probably guess.

We had a good tour of Bucknell a few weeks ago.

The tour guide was very good, which made up for a less-than-stellar presentation by an Assistant Admissions Dir who was not a good public speaker. We appreciated being able to see a dorm room, though the occupant was clearly awakened at the crack of noon when we got there.

An amusing anecdote: the tour guide was wished a happy birthday loudly and enthusiastically by a friend. Apparently it happens every day on every tour.

Really an excellent tour guide (don't remember her name--I think she was a junior or senior), and the only thing more I could possibly ask for would have been to detail the curriculum requirements for engineering as clearly as she did for the A&S school. My potential engineering daughter is somewhat afraid of liberal arts courses, and didn't think she was interested in an LAC until I pointed out that the humanities and social science requirements at Bucknell were actually less than she would have at the universities she is considering.

When we went, the engineering department offered an engineering tour where we had an engineering student as our tour guide and got to see the classrooms, labs, etc. in the engineering building.
She was also able to give us more insight into the engineering requirements and such.
