Things that you wish you had known about business majors?

The title pretty much says it all. Is there anything that you wish you had known about either specific business majors or business programs as a whole before you started? Anything that you wish you had done/not done in high school?

How much people expect you to butt kiss and small talk and go on golf trips compared to any other field. I'd rather audit Zimbabwe than that.

I wish I knew before I decided on a college that Finance is pretty much useless at a non-target school. I had the grades to go a target school, but went local for cost efficiency. Now after doing research, I'm realizing I'm pretty much stuck in accounting, which I planned on doubling with Finance, so I dont mind at all.

@domrom1
So if you could go back in time, would you be an accounting major or a finance major?

I'm not sure tbh. I like the idea of doing consulting work. And accounting isnt really a good pathway for that. But I also understand that while Finance, consulting, banking, and the like are more flashy, accounting is more secure. It wouldve been a toss up still, but I wouldve liked to have the option.
