im at a major crossroads here - do business?

ok im a freshman at university of washington at the moment. im considering transferring to an art college. i know that whatever i end up doing, i want it to be in art. art is primary, no question. now its this business part that keeps nagging at me -

i want to do something larger - and i keeping looking at business as the answer to this. i do have entrepreneurial fantasies, and i see studying business as a kind of starting off point to that. so i could stay at where i am now, a school not famous for either business or art, and get a degree in both. or, i could go to an art school that would give me a better education in that one subject. but that just makes me wonder if my chances for accomplishing something bigger (my ultimate dream is to successfully combine business + art) will go to the gutter (i dont mean zero, but you know... less chance) - i dont know.

if i stay and double degree, am i spreading myself too thin (do i hurt myself professionally if things dont work out)? ugh... i know i made a similar topic, and its probably still floating around here somewhere; i cant believe ive been so conflicted over this for this long...

If you want to get into art, transfer to the art school and major in art/design/whatever u want. You most likely aren't going to start a business in art right out of undergrad anyways, and the undergrad business courses won't be terribly helpful for you.

If after a few years of working you decide you need the business background, go back for your MBA. Schools will look favorably on the fact that you have an unusual background and a clear vision for what you want to do (although, that vision is not yet totally clear). Just make sure you keep a high undergrad GPA and do well on the GMAT.

There may even be schools that offer a dual mba/masters in art. (i've seen that with music).
