university of texas(McCombs) vs. rochester

Which one I should go as a transfer undergraduate?

just got admissions from McCombs and rochester which doesn't have an undergraduate business school

any suggestion?

BTW, do you guys think these schools worth 80,000 for the last 2 years of bechelor degree? just thank about the debt after graduation......god

beside, I got admission from Drexel University as well... they gives 15,000 scholarship per year. maybe this one is a better choice due to it's scholarship and the co-op program?

Where are you transferring from? Where do you want to work after college? Are you currently in a situation where you pay little to no tuition?

If you know you want to study business, go somewhere with an undergrad business program. As for which school to attend, McCombs was a no-brainer for me (but I had in-state tuition). If I didn't live in Texas, I don't know where I would've gone to school, but I would almost definitely have ended up with much more debt.

I'm transferring from a CC in PA, so, no matter which way I go, I'm gonna end up with around 80,000 debt unless I choose Drexel , which is located in Philladelphia.

I'll definitely study or do business. I'm not that sure if I'll step onto an MBA program, or real business world immediately after getting a finance bechelor degree. However, I'd say, I indeed want to go somewhere like Wharton and finally work for investment bank.

McCombs is ranked 4th in the nation for finance. It isn't as heavily recruited by investment banks as schools closer to New York, but it does send some to Wall Street each year. You can definitely get a great job elsewhere seeing as it has the largest job pool of any university and Texas has a very strong economy. I'd imagine you could go to Wharton for an MBA and work in investment banking much easier if you had some good job experience under your belt.

Thanks, guys,
I've received other admissions from other schools including UIUC, DREXEL, and Rutgers.
NO doubt McCombs is a great business school, but, as a out of state student, I'm gonna have to pay around 80,000 for the rest 2 years before obtaining my becholar degree.
Again, I do want to pick a way that will lead me to investment banking, this is my dream.
however, since i'm not a rich man, I need to consider if the 80,000 tuition is worthy.
McCombs might not be able to realize my dream directly, so , what about pursuing a graduate degree after that? is it good enough to put me into schools like Wharton if I can get a good GPA?
waiting for more suggestion

McCombs students are in a pretty good position for top MBA programs. I'd imagine there are former McCombs students enrolled in every one of the top 10 MBA programs right now, including Wharton. However, getting accepted to a top MBA program right out of undergrad will likely require more than a high GPA regardless of where you go for undergrad.

It depends, really. I don't know much about the job offers and grad school placement of Drexel students, but 80k is a big difference, so you might want to do some research and try to determine if the benefits outweigh the costs or not.
