Which should I choose?

I would have to pay for everything if I went to Ross. But I am a NMSF and should be a NMF. Would it be better to go to Ross and come out in debt of around 55k or go to somewhere like Oklahoma, Alabama, Arizona State, or Auburn for free and have no debt and about 50k coming out of college?

If it was between Ross and another top 10 program, I would say go for the money, but there's just too much of a gap in job prospects here. You won't make 105k more at your first job if you go to Ross, but it'll likely be better paying and give you better experience that will look better on your resume and get you into better grad programs and help you land better jobs in the future. Then again, people who go to average schools can end up in the same position if they're exceptionally creative and hard working.

I'm definitely leaning towards Ross. But I want to explore all my options. I'm expecting everyone to say go for Ross. Would an ASU or Alabama business degree pretty much restrict you to work in those states? Would being an their honors colleges make any difference.

I think I could be in the top 10% at Ross, but I could probably be in the top 1-2% at one of the schools giving me the National Merit money.

What are you looking at doing? If it's anything besides accounting, go to Michigan. Else, you might want to consider the state schools if you want to do accounting. It'll be less competitive, starting salary is same, and you'll have less debt.

Btw, have you considered USC? They got a decent biz school, and they love NMSFs.

Yes. I might apply to USC. But even with the NM $ it's still quite a bit more than Michigan.
