Maryland, Towson, or UMBC for Accounting?

Which would be best for me (A high school senior interested in becoming a CPA and applying to all 3)?
Please rank them.
-University of Maryland
-Towson University
-University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC)

GO to MD. your classmates will be smarter, your tests will be WAY harder, you will learn more.

I graduated from VT with a degree in acc (currently in the grad program). over one of the summers i took an acc class at another university in VA. the kids there were not as smart, the tests were a joke, i didnt learn as much.

At VT pretty much every week there is one of the big 4 or other large acc firms, corporations, etc.. that set up tables outside our classrooms for networking and to offer internships etc..

you get what you put in up to a point, i was not at all challenged at the other college in va. At VT i had all i could handle, but managed to graduate and now im in the grad school...

I don't know about UMBC's program, so I won't comment on it. My son went to Towson. Frankly, I wasn't that impressed with it;however, they did have a minor concentration in financial planning as an accounting major that the other schools don't have.

Other than that, I would probably recommend Maryland. They pay their professors substantially more than that of Towson and get better students overall.

Maryland. Are you sure you don't have a chance at reaching higher?

No I'm pretty sure I can't reach higher... In fact, if it so happens that I don't get into Maryland, should I transfer in or just stay at Towson or Umbc? And if you recommend transferring, how long should I stay at my first University before transferring? Btw. I appreciate this - its really helpful.

Don't go anywhere else if it will cost you more money. Read the thread, "Everything you wanted to know or should know about accounting." Please read post number one. Where you go is irrelevant. Can I say that enough times?

The last time I checked, UMBC does not offer an accounting degree. I think if you major financial economics, then that can help you get certified as an accountant.
