can accounting be a lucrative career?

first of all I love math and am quite good at it and dealing with money really interests me, but I want to have a career that can benefit me financially. Can you go far with accounting? I am currently at a CSU looking to change my major to accounting.

Math has nothing to do with accounting. Accounting can be pretty lucrative. It's boring as hell though.

If you enjoy math and would like a career involving it with good salaries, have you considered becoming an actuary? You can read more about it on this link.
