Which majors compliment business the best ?

I know communications would obviously work very well with business.

Myself personally i think philosophy would because it allows one to see the bigger picture and think fast on your feet, etc. As of now, im thinking of having a concentration in accounting later on my academic career and graduate school is definitely where i want to head -- MBA at least.

So my question is, what and why (blank) major would compliment someone going into accounting for their MBA?

Statistics or some other kind of math would be good because it emphasizes quant skills. If your school has a good finance program, that might open some doors, too. Communications probably won't add much to your resume. Philosophy is nice, but don't expect it to give you anything particularly useful. You should be able to see the bigger picture and think on your feet from self-development, anyway.

I agree with skittles, quant or philosophy. Also because I see a lot of philosophy majors destroying the GMAT verbal part or LSATs.
