Just looking for some recommendations for college next year. I'm a senior looking to major in finance, or maybe do econ. I'm at a rigorous private school in Minnesota (send a lot of kids to BC, ND, Carleton) 34 ACT, 2220 SAT (1530), 3.9 W, 3.7 UW, 1 AP last year, 4 APs this year. Ideally I would like to work in Minneapolis or Chicago following graduation, but I wouldn't at all mind nyc/boston/phili/DC or LA. I've been accepted at Kelley and have applied to Michigan (Ross), USC (Marshall), Georgetown (McDonough), and Villanova (VSB). Thinking about NU (econ). Any other suggestions? Thanks.

For finance, these can't be beat:

For economics, U Chicago is arguably the best in the nation, and I'm surprised you haven't already applied. Harvard, MIT, Princeton and Stanford would also be slightly better than Northwestern for economics. Yale, Penn and Berkeley would be on par with Northwestern and pretty much anything else would be worse. Finance is practically applied economics and grads from top programs in each often work the same jobs, so you might as well apply to a couple if you think you might like them more.

I'm assuming the cost of these schools isn't a factor since you're already shelling out for a private school.
