business vs. finance major

I apologize in advance if this topic has been addressed before, but a quick search of the CC threads didn't pull up what I was looking for. As my older s. is a science kid, looking into business/finance majors with my younger s. is all new to me.
Question: What are the advantages/disadvantages of pursuing a business vs finance major as an undergrad? I am aware that there are less schools that offer a B.BA. (undergrad business degree), but aside from this, what are the pros and cons of the two majors? My younger s. is interested in business/finance and has a strong math background. He'd like to stay in the south. Any recommendations besides Emory, U of Fla or UT Austin? Any specific comments about these schools? We are heading to a college fair, so info would be greatly appreciated.
