USC places very low to top grad business schools compared to UCLA, and most especially, Berkeley and Stanford. But it is quite possible to get into a top grad business school from USC.
Most paths went like this: Graduated at the top of his/her class, landed a job at a top bank/firm and stayed there for 3 or so years and did well whilst at that bank/firm. Taken the GMAT and scored 700 or higher. Applied to all the top 15 or so.
