Stab in the dark question

I have a question and I was just wondering what opinions anyone has on it. How possible would it be for an African American male to be accepted to a top 10 MBA program with a gpa of slightly less than 3.0 from Princeton Univeristy, if say, I had good work experience and wrote quality essays. Is this unheard of?

I had a friend who was a Latino with a GPA below 3.0 from Wharton undergrad. Had great GMAT and work experience, got into Anderson, Columbia, and Chicago.
