Business Fraternity Helpful?

Has anyone ever found a Business Fraternity to be helpful in either finding a job or getting into a college?

Any of you guys that know about admissions or job selection: does it ever carry any weight?

I'm attending an Ivy League school for undergrad and would not join a social fraternity but would consider a pre-professional one if it actually carried weight.

Just wanted to know the implications of it outside of college. Thanks!
