Best MBA programs in the Mid-Atlantic/South region?

What schools would you guys recommend to apply at in the regions stated above for finance/marketing? Also, I will be graduating in a year with a bachelor's in finance and need some advice on which companies to shoot for. I am wanting to stay in the south to work and some of the bigger companies are Bank of America and Merrill Lynch. Would these companies look good on an MBA application?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Merrill Lynch would be better, since it's a major player investment banking. BoA is a major player in commercial banking, but only has a small arm in IB.

For schools (in order of ranking in finance/marketing):
Duke
Texas/UVa
UNC
Georgetown/Emory

Do the schools mentioned above place most graduates in top firms? Also would it make more sense for me to pay 40k+ a year for these programs or get an MBA at Univ of Georgia where instate tuition is about 14k a year? I know it's not a top 20 program, but the cost is definately something to consider.

I'm not sure if a M-Fin would get me any better of a starting salary. I will need work experience regardless in business, so I figured an MBA would be the better route.

but a m-fin is less time. Take a look at Florida's M-fin. It might be worth looking at, the placement is respectable and they send a lot of graduates to NYC as analysts.

UF is a good school, but I would be shunned by my family if I went there. Also, would I even be able to do investment banking with just a M-Fin? I thought they required an MBA.

Investment banking doesn't require a degree does it? Even if it does, there are plenty of Harvard English majors doing it. I believe it does take a high IQ, as evidenced by a 1500 SAT or 700+ GMAT. Best of luck to ya
