Anyone have Butler info?

My daughter was just accepted into Butler. We visited this summer and really liked the school a lot, but don't know anyone who is there now. I'd love to get some more info regarding strength of academics and social life if you are not involved in the Greek system.

My son is at Butler now...

He is in the 4th year of their 6th year pharmacy program and has nothing but positive things to say about the school. I can't speak for Sororities or Fraternity life as he is not in a frat.

Butler does have a very active Christian community if that is something that interests your child? Although the school itself is not associated with a church, my son has found great friends in the Campus Crusade for Christ that is there.

He always feels safe and has never had anything stolen, etc. Although he is not a partier, there are parties and he says that the sober community also feels at home there.

When he was a freshman he had some problems adjusting and the counselling center was extremely helpful.

All of his professors have always been easily accessible via email or dropping in on them. I don't know if it's my son's major ? or what...but his courses are very intense and he spends a lot of time studying.

I hope this helps you! I'm not a regular poster so sorry I am just now seeing your post.

Thanks for the information. I really appreciate it. I'm not a regular poster either.

Everything about this school seemed great. And it's a beautiful campus. Wish I could go there.
