| Hey everyone! I will be sending out an email with more info on True Blue in 5-7 days. There will also be a mailing going out to all admitted students.
In a nutshell, True Blue lets you shadow a current student with a similar academic interest. This could include sitting in on a class, talking with a professor, eating lunch in the union, and doing whatever else a student might do for a typical school day.
I'm finishing up links on the website today, so you will have more info shortly! |

What year are you? Major? Hometown?
the admission staff touts/yells their placement office's very high success rates within 6 months of graduating. pharmacy and education majors at 98%+, and business is at 94%. Do you know if the business program is really that strong? Otherwise, how much studying daily do you and most non-medical majors do? where are most of the parties? what happen on most weekends? venture to downtown Indianapolis very often?
thanks |

| I spent a weekend in the fall with my boyfriend at butler. he's a freshman in the pharmacy program. (in otherwords i hear plenty about all thats going on there)
Weekends = sports games (basketball obviously big) they have a dawg pound club that gives you a card that gets you into games for free, i believe.
Seems like there are parties every weekend at frats. Some parties are more organized, others less.
And as far as studying, As a pharmacy major my boyfriend studies a lot, about 50 hours. the traditional studying method is 2-3 hours for every one hour of class. In his opinion the business students have like a fraction of what he has.
downtown Indianapolis is accesible, i dont think kids go downtown every weekend. but my boyfriend has gone to movie theaters, shows, almost went to a colts game i think?
Hopefully that helped some? Also anyone who hasnt visited. Go visit. Its gorgeous. Try to find a student you are some how acquainted with to walk around with after the real tour. (I dont know about the True Blue but i think the regular tour doesnt take you inside the rec center, its really nice!) |

| sdavis.....ButlerBrad is the e-com guy at Butler, not a student.
freezinginthesno...Thanks for the information. Does your boyfriend have time for any intramural sports or a fraternity? Is he able to anything other than study? I've heard that about the pharmacy program and imagine it's the same for physician assistants.
ButlerBrad....My son got his True Blue visit info today. Thanks. I like the flexibility of the dates. Another school only has 2 days to choose from. |

| Guilty as charged! Yep, I work here at Butler.
Toledo - has your son had a chance to do True Blue yet? One of my bloggers came by my office today with her True Blue student. Seemed like they were having a great time! |

| For future reference to anyone searching the CC forums for information about Butler. Beginning Fall 2008 ('09 grads and on), the early action deadline is 11/15. |
