I figured I would start this thread The Butler forum is a little... well... underrepresented? Anyone who is applying to Butler University this fall, post here! Let's get our own little thread started!

My son will be applying for pharmD. He would never post here, though! We visited last spring, and he really liked Butler. The only issue for us would be financial aid ... it sound like merit aid is less likely for pharmD students than it is for other majors. He'll apply, though, and see what happens.

I'm applying for the pharmD as well... but I think I'll probably end up going to Pitt. Butler only gives out $13,000 a year max for merit scholarships... and I just can't afford to pay the rest of tuition myself...

How does the pharmD program work? Are you admitted pre-pharmD only? I really liked Butler, but that's how it worked for their physician assistant program. You aren't officially admitted until Junior year and they cut quite a few people at that point. Son decided he didn't want to compete against his classmates for two years so found a program that was direct admit.

I applied for their business school, but it's unlikely that i'll go there unless I recieve a lot of financial aid. I'll probably end up going to Kelley at IU, though I like Butler a lot.
