What are my chances for the engineering program?

White,Male

Junior

First Generation College student

Weighted GPA:4.0 (hoping to boost it up)

IN about the top 8 percent of my class

SAT I 1610 (dec.1)

Junior year schedule:

Spanish III
APUSH
AP chem.
Honors English
Honors precalc
Student government

ECs:
Marching Band (2 years)
Academic Decathlon
Science Olympiad
FBLA (officer)
Student Government

Community Service:
So far about 100. I’ve been helping out at my local senior center.

Awards and Honors:
5 Place in County FBLA conference in Business (I than entered into the State conference)
CSF
*most likely will make NHS this year


Hopefully I get some more awards in Academic decathlon, science Olympiad and FBLA. Planning to retake the SAT I, did horrible on the CR. I did get a 620 on the math though.

You're probably in. I had a worse SAT score and a 3.5 weighted. I'm also out of state too. But I applied and three days later I was accepted. However, I applied as a political science major. Haha, so it may be more tough for you. But I still think you have a decent chance.

which engineering program? I know they have a pretty good civil engineering program, so that might be the toughest to get in to.

Electrical and Mech is also pretty poplular at Cal Poly Pomona

Anyway, any ideas on where Cal Poly is ranked in terms of engineering?
