My chances of getting in?

I'm looking towards majoring in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

G.P.A
9th Grade
1st sem: 3.12
2nd sem: 3.26
10th Grade
1st sem: 3.20
2nd sem: 3.28
11th Grade
1st sem: pending(i know its over a 3.1)
1 AP Class which is Chemistry. (I hate it btw lol) I got a C 1st semester.
Taking Occupational Computer programs such as PC Repair this year(A+ in 1st semester), then MCP(Microsoft Certified Professional) and Visual Basics senior year

SATs
pending(will take March 1st)

SAT Subject Tests
pending(will take in May)

extra curricular
9th grade: JV badminton
10th grade: Varsity badminton
11th grade: Varsity badminton
12th grade: pending (99.9% of doing badminton again)
active Christian at a local church(also goes to church events that help the community and reach out to others)
I also help church members with any computer problems they have, i'm kinda the techie in my church, everyone ask me for computer help.

I live in California
1st generation
asian descent


Hows everything look so far? What subject tests should i take? My strong subject is math. I'm prepared to receive alot of negative comments >.<.

Hmm, you may have somewhat of a challenge since your grades are a little low... You have one semester left that will count, try and finish strong! Take some APs your senior year to look busy. And if you do very well on your SATs, then you could have a very solid chance. Take them multiple times and keep on studying.

You are still a junior so it is a little difficult to chance. Think of that as a good thing. You still have time to work stuff out.

your chances are way good. pomona isnt popular at all. i heard back within a week of applying and got in.. i had an overall 3.24 and a 1660 on the sats. i seriously wouldnt worry at all.

thanks for replying. Pomona will be my #1 backup school and i wanted to make sure i have a really good chance at making it to a backup school just in case.

dude , dont even trip. u'll make it in for sure. my avg gpa is 2.93, and i got a 1490 on SAT's and i got in. dont worry about it

Pomona weights their admissions to favor their local service area. If you live in the LA area you have a much better chance. Except for Architecture which is competitive. Do take the SAT/ACT multiple times. It worked for me.

my friend got into Pomona for engineering with a 3.2 and mid 1700's SAT.
I think you are fine but make sure your GPA doesn't get any lower

i got into pomona with a 3.25 weighted and 1930 SAT
i heard back from them within a week that i applied.
so yeah, i really wouldn't worry at all~
