Didn't go to Open House? You missed out

So I went to open house and here are some (yes some) of the pics i took of the campus and the events. Open House was awesome. Unlike other open houses of other universities this one had life in it. I am going to the Electrical Engineering major so some pics are from that department.

*edit* sorry didn't know the img tag didnt work here... gonna put it in a photobucket

Missed out on Open House? Thats okay. As long as you don't miss out in attending Cal Poly.
Seriously though, the school was great! Proffessors, students, the campus was alive!

As for education, on the EE department alot of questions were directed on how UC campuses such as UCLA and Berkeley compare to Cal Poly.
If you were one of those undecided between a UC and CP then you should have gone. Basically the head of EE shot down UCLA for undergrad education. He did make a point where there is no class over 30 and no lab bench over 2 students. CP required much more units to graduate than UCLA in EE. Why is that? Because CP not only focuses on theoretical learning in the classroom that UC focuses on but also on practical learn by doing education in labs. CP has much more labs
than UCLA for undergrads. The amount of labs, demonstrated by many students who were very competant to the questions my dad an engineer posed to them was amazing.

Hands on CP is awesome. As for UCLA... well don't feel too bad, the guy did say UCLA is okay for grad and research -_^

I agree - I was so impressed by cal poly that I decided that day to go there over UCSB. The decision to attend Cal Poly really cant be made unless you visit it first...
