For anyone who has been on a waitlist/familiar with cal poly's waitlist,
Has anyone ever gotten in off the waitlist before the May 15th deadline? I want to know this to know if I should keep waiting up until May 1st to accept UCSB, and then wait for cal poly, or if I should wait it out til' April 31st then accept UCSB. Any thoughts?
I was wondering the exact same thing. I guess the only thing we have to lose is the $100.00 deposit to UCSB if we get accepted into Cal Poly. Supposedly, we will be notified if/when there is an opening in our major. I'm not holding my breath. Has anyone been admiited from the waitlist?
What was your major who8? Stats? I have a friend who is on the wait list for aeronautical engineering. Any idea if SLO is taking people off the wait list all at once or some at a time?
Business Administration
I have a 3.9 with a 1910 SAT
I am pretty sure they are doing it in waves, as they said I would hear by May 15th. They sent me a letter last week saying I was among the top candidates on the waitlist, so maybe this is why I got notified first.
Best of luck to you all!
My son was told last week that he was at the top of the Mechanical Engineering transfer waiting list. He was rejected yesterday, and now Cal Poly has decided not to take any Winter transfers.
