Cal Poly is more competitive than many UCs. I don't know the percent of slots it reserves for OOS kids but you could try looking at the CSU web page for those answers. The California State University
^It really depends what on you're majoring in and what would be an ideal education for you. If you're into physics/architecture and you want small class sizes + "learn as you do" environment, then cal poly is for you.
