Accepted at UCSB, UCSC and SDSU but rejected by Cal Poly

I got accepted by UCSB, UCSC and SDSU yet I got rejected by Cal Poly. Is it because of the economy or just total random thing?

Cal Poly is as hard as UCSB in getting accepted, if not even harder than UCSB (in general). I know many people from my school that got into UCSB and got rejected from Cal Poly and vice versa. People in general think Cal Poly should be easier to get in because it is a Cal State but it has been compared by many people to be as good as UC Davis and UC Irvine. And for engineering majors, people turn down UCLA, UCSD, and some people even turn down CAL for Cal Poly.

In my opinion i think it was random since admissions this year was all over the place. For me I was rejected from Davis but accepted to UCI and Cal Poly. But I know people that got accepted to Davis but was rejected by UCI and Cal Poly.
