Should I Do Early Decision?

GPA: nonweighted 3.37 weighted 3.52

Sat 1: 1950
-math 670
-CR 660
-writing 620
i just took the SATs again, and if it results anything like recent practice tests i should be looking at about a 2100 after major tutoring.

AP US history test: 4

SAT IIs:
-Literature 630
-US history 680

Taken Ap or honors history all four years and this year am in AP economics/gov and AP stats and am looking at at least a 4.0 weighted gpa

ECs:
-JV football for 2 years
-Varsity lacrosse for 2 years. Helped start lacrosse team at our school.
(also played club lacrosse in sophomore year)
Worked two summers at sailing camp for kids where i taught children how to sail and rented out paddle boats

no volunteer work, but i have played saxophone for four years also but no band experience

I would be declaring a major in economics

How do I look as a regular applicant? Should i do Early Decision?
Thanks for any help

If you really want to go to Cal Poly, then do it. You have solid chances of getting in either way, but obviously better if you do ED. You have to ask yourself, if I get accepted with early decision, would I be happy that I have to go there or would I wonder about the other schools I could have gone to.

For me, Cal Poly made sense because of the awesome location, relatively cheap in-state tuition and the great academics. Thats why I applied ED.

Just so you know. If you plan to do ED, you have to be done with your testing NOW.
