| Cal Poly and the ACT
Hey guys I have another question.
If you go here http://www.calpoly.edu/~inststdy/cds/cds0708.pdf and scroll down to C9 you will see that it reads ACT ENGLISH and ACT math. I thought Cal Poly only looks at the ACT Reading Math and Science. PLEASE Correct me if I am wrong.

I think they just use all your act scores, which is your composite score right?

I highly doubt that because if that were the case then why would they disregard the writing section of the SAT?

I think you can.
If they said the average ACT was 27 then only the average of the reading and math scores could have been taken into consideration.

^^Did he say that they only use english and math for admission? Other words: on the admission profiles, are the act scores listed the composite of the four or just english and math combined?

Nope english and math are the biggest sections on the act, I know i thought the same thing since thats how the sat is scored.
"We use the ACT English and Math scores only.
Hope this answers your question.

I called Admissions today and she said they only add English and Math together and take the highest of those scores (if more than one ACT composite score is sent in.)
