International Student applying to CSU Campuses

Hey,
I'm an International Student who is planning to apply to some of the California State University campuses for the Fall 2013 Session.

I'm having some trouble using the CSUMentor Form (CSUMentor) for International Students as I have never used an online university application form before.

I'll list down some of the problems I am having with the form, and if you can, please help me out :

1) Third-Party Information Release : http://i.imgur.com/ZYSIf.jpg
Is this where I'm supposed to put my parent's name or someone else's name?

2) Credential Objective : http://i.imgur.com/zov2e.png
I don't get what this section is about at all. Could someone elaborate please?

3) Academic performance :
I have given O-Level and As-Level exams. How do I calculate my GPA from my grades?
Do I have to take into account the exams conducted by my high school as well?

These are all the problems I have with the Application for now.

Also, after I have filled in the Application, when is a good time to submit it? Do I wait till my SAT I scores have come out or can I submit it before? I also plan to give SAT II this November, so should I wait till my SAT II score come out and then submit it? I'm very confused as most campuses have Nov 30th as the deadline.

Also when do I have to mail my transcripts/bank statements/etc. to them? And what about my essay/personal statement?

PS. I'm planning to apply to San Diego State, Cal Poly and CSU Fresno.

1. This allows you to designate someone else to be able to see your application information.

2. This is for specialized credential programs like teaching credentials; if those credentials are not your interest, you do not have to indicate one.

3. See CSUMentor - Plan for College - International Students - International Student Introduction and CSUMentor - Plan for College - High School Students - GPA Calculator .

1. So I can put in my dad's name?

2. What do I put in the text box that says "If no degree or credential objective, please specify the graduate-level courses you wish to take for personal and professional growth:" ?
Is this like an essay about what major I want to study (Computer Science)?

3. Thanks, I got a 3.3 with my O and A level results. Is that good?

Hi All, I have got an offer from CSU, Fresno for CS Program? Will anyone suggest me about CSU, Fresno. How good is the CS Program for MS? Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Flamedra...u should really ask the international admissions coordinator..email them. Coz the GPA calculator CANNOT be used to A level results...A levels has A*s and there's no option for tht given..
A level students don't need to provide any GPA, just give ur grades..
Contact he admission office, they will guide you properly..u will also not be at any disadvantaged due to not providing the GPA coz the committee is quite familiar with the British system..
DO NOT put 3.3
