Cal Poly (San Luis Obispo) is a really good school, especially for engineering. Cal State Fullerton is good for a MS in taxation. I do not reccommend Cal State LA. Go to Northridge or Long Beach instead.
I personally am applying to Cal Poly (SLO) for an engineering degree.

In general, Cal Poly SLO and Cal Poly Pomona are considered at the top of the heap. CSU Long Beach is also pretty good. If you want to avoid schools that are heavily commuter, choose carefully.

Cal Poly (SLO) is also known for business administration. My hometown CSU, Sacramento, has good programs in nursing, computer sciences and criminal justice. D's boyfriend is going to SFSU in preparation for graduate work in physics at U Chicago -- not too shabby.

CSU Fullerton is known for their business program, communications program too.

Appppparentlllly CSU DH is known for education, but they just seem too meh for me even if I wanted to be an educator.

CSU LA, CSU Channel Hills are also mehhhh. Unless someone knows something I don't.

Sorry to bug in but I might transfer into an Engineering or Mathematics major probably below a 3.0 or at least at a 3.0 range. For the fact I kept hearing CSULB is rejecting students with a 3.6gpa or below, or some has been place on a waitlist. What are my chances getting into an Engineering or Mathematics program below a 3.0gpa at any CSU?

I was thinking of applying for CSUF or CSUN as well...or heading up to NorCal. I just hope I get into CSULB, it'll be easier so I don't have to move around since I'm still living Long Beach.

many csu's are commuter schools but the ones that are in "college towns" are cal poly pomona, csu chico, humboldt state, even cal poly slo.

with that said, csu's are well known and regarded as one of the best college systems in the country. there are many schools and different programs you can choose from. is there a particular program you're inquiring about?
