liberal and progressive schools

Hi,

I want to transfer to a school in california because of the outdoors and amazing weather. What are some of the more liberal/laid back/hippie schools on the west coast? I have visited and loved berkeley, but I also heard that UC santa cruz is very nice. Any Ideas?

Yeah I heard UC Santa Cruz is a very 'hippie like' school, and very pro-vegetarianism!

Haha I'm the opposite of you, I'm sick of the extreme hip liberalness and hippie attitude. UCSC is perfect for your type and UC Davis is another good choice because it too attracts many environmental types. Also I've never been to it but Humboldt state has a very hippie rep. Don't take my word for it though since I've never been there.
