what do you guys think about me asking Caltech politely what's up with my application and if not hearing from them yet means I don't have a spot...

You thnk asking them that will be fine? Doesn't create a bad imperssion does it..

I doubt calling will affect your application either way, but I'm pretty sure they have not offered up all of their waitlist spots yet. When they're sure they have no more spots, they'll tell you.

Bad luck mate.. But as jinal says, at least it's over Now you can settle in which ever school you chose (or wait for some other waitlist, then i wish you good luck!)

Wasn't here for a while, so just an update, got my FA package (a while ago), and decided to go right away, the package was great i'll try to fix with them some things in september i guess, but it was good enough to accept the offer

there's still some movement on the waitlsit i think.. ppl getting of the waitlists on princeton, MIT, etc so there could still be spots.. just hold on, and hope for the best

Still not contact from Caltech in the past month and a half. No response to e-mails that I've sent either. I heard that Caltech wasn't taking anyone when everywhere else was taking tons of people so I kind of gave up on it, and now I find out that they are actually taking people.

Anyone know how many are left on the list and how many have been rejected from the list? (Sorry, I'm a numbers guy)

It kinda sucks that I've already graduated and don't know where I'm going for sure. I'm one of the 64 left on the MIT wait list too.

The letter I received was dated 06/02/08. I want to say I received it on 4th or 5th but I'm not sure.
