For my quirkiness essay I wrote on a bunch of things. I'll hit the highlights really quick, they mostly involve microwaves from your standard microwave oven (various models), to heat various things in times fast enough so I don't need excess waiting. The best involved various water solutions. Unfortunately I haven't done this (or many of my other "projects") in about 6 months, due primarily to safety concerns. I treat my withdrawl with safer paper-based things. My essay expanded on this and gave some examples.
