I have a general question and a specific question.

The general question is when does CalTech start reading the EA apps? Is it as soon as each app is submitted with all the required docs? In other words, if an app is complete and submitted on 10/1, would the reading start soon after?

Now to the specific question. My son submitted his EA app on 10/31. One of his LOR's was mailed on 11/1. Will admissions start reading his app before processing all his LOR's?

There are no admissions officers on this board, so that's a hard question for us to answer directly. I can tell you that the answer is sort of irrelevant, your son's application will be considered pretty much the same way it would be if the LOR arrived precisely on 10/31.
