Denied EA but considered for RD??

I got a flat-out deny in the EA round (quite surprising.. was expecting at least a defer). However, when the RD guys are all receiving emails about whether their applications are complete, I received those emails as well. The latest one told me that my application is complete, decisions come out on Mar 20th blahblahblah.

I'm not really excited or anything since I'm most probably taking up my offer at the U of Cambridge. However, it is funny to imagine that perhaps I'll be getting yet another DENY reply come Mar 20th.

What do you guys think? Are they by any chance still considering me for RD due to whatever screw-up it is this time? I'm gonna keep totally quiet by the way, no emails or calls. When someone's doing sth stupid, any self-respecting brother should guide him along..
