CSUF New Student Housing (Open July 2011)

So, I'm pretty obsessive about researching schools that I want to go to and got really excited when I came upon Fullerton's Design & Construction Website. When I got there, I got even more excited to find the presentation that won the bid to build Fullerton's Phase 3 student housing.

If you are obsessed like me, or plan to move to CSUF in 2011, take a look at the powerpoint (http://d-c.fullerton.edu/Project_Pre...esentation.swf) or the video (Project Presentations).

I just love how the place is designed from the interior, though I'm not too sure how pretty it will be from the exterior. This design company, Cal State Fullerton Student Housing Facility Study | MVE Institutional (MVEI) - Architectural, Planning and Interiors for Educational and Institutional Facilities, seemed to have a better exterior design. Oh well, hope it all works well. Hell, I might even move into it my senior year cause it looks so good .

Here's a live webcam of construction: http://www.titanwebcams.com/webcam/livecam1.htm

edit: I posted this in two other related forums, so if mods don't like this please delete one of the three :X. Just wanted everyone who is interested in CSUF/California Unis to see this.

Apply ASAP!

From the Residence Life website (application link at the bottom of the linked page):

Fees and Applying

"On campus housing is most readily available for fall semester, although spaces sometimes become available during the fall semester and for the spring semester. License Agreements (contracts) are offered for the entire academic year (August through May) and for the summer session. Fees for the 2009-2010 academic year are $5775 double occupancy and $7675 single occupancy. Fees do not include food, cable or telephone but do include a bedspace in a furnished, air-conditioned suite; gas, electricity, water and Internet access.

On campus housing is limited. Therefore, it is critical that individuals interested in living on campus submit Housing Applications EARLY. Students do not have to be admitted to the University to submit a Housing Application. HOWEVER, University admission is required before a housing space can be offered.

APPLICATION TO HOUSING IS SEPARATE FROM APPLICATION TO THE UNIVERSITY. PLEASE REQUEST A SEPARATE HOUSING APPLICATION from the Housing and Residence Life Office."

I don't think they are accepting Fall 2010 applications as of yet . Or are they :X. I'll try to apply just in case haha. 37,000 students and 800 beds does seem like quite the ratio, even though only about 4-5000 request beds.

Let me know if you hear...

I've never heard of a window of time in which they accept applications (unlike Admissions). Please do let me know if they tell you it's too early, and any date frame? I'd like to give only accurate info, but there is SO much to know!

Too early, I can register for only Fall 2009 and Summer 2009 (but I figure both of those are already full ).

Not sure when they update it.
