CSULB FAFSA Question

gettingontrackgettingontrack Posts: 35Registered User Junior Member
So does anyone know when we accept/decline our fafsa awards? I got an email that showed me my preliminary estimates and I also sent in all my requested forms. When I log into the portal and check My Awards, nothing shows up.

My status says, "Award access not available."

I sent in the forms maybe a month ago; after sending the forms in that task was removed from my "to do" list a day later. I know they've been received but no updates yet.

My friend is in the same situation. She was picked for verification and she also got her "preliminary estimates". She sent her forms in early April and her financial aid award has still not been updated yet. She called and csulb said that it takes atleast 4-6 weeks to process the information. Its kind of ridiculous if you ask me. People should be able to access their financial information before the friggin Intent to Enroll date!!

I just received an email today "Mothers Day", informing me that my financial aid offer was complete and ready for review. Somewhat odd I though the college was closed on Sundays must be an automated process or something. Either way can't complain =]

"The CSULB Office of Financial Aid has recently completed a review of your financial aid application. Please review the attached document for details on your CSULB Financial Aid Offer for the 2013-2014 academic year."
