Anyone here have any personal or secondhand experience with Long Beach's music department? I was told it is good for band/jazz, and I see it is large with 500 majors. Our son was accepted for trumpet performance, also loves jazz. He has only a few weeks to decide between CSULB and various others: UCI, UCSB, Sac. State, San Diego State being the main choices. We feel awfully ill-informed, and live in Nor Cal so it's hard to visit.
