Cal State Long Beach's Japanese Major-how good?

How many levels high does Cal State Long Beach's Japanese language courses go? And how good is the Japanese major at this college in general?

(I might major in Japanese, and I'd like to go somewhere with plenty of study abroad opportunities)

I'm not sure about this, but I knew someobe who is currently majoring in Japanese. I don't have anything to compare the curriculum to, but he was able to study abroad in Japan for a semester.

That's pretty good. I wonder where in Japan he's studying? I think Japanese at Cal State Long Beach goes up to level 500. But do you know if you can you get a Masters of Assosiates degree in Japanese there?

By the way, two days ago I was in a Thai restaurant studying Japanese when a waiter came up and said to me, "You're studying Japanese? I got a BA studying Japanese in Thailand!" Then he went back to gathering dishes from the other tables. No joke.
