I'm not sure about this, but I knew someobe who is currently majoring in Japanese. I don't have anything to compare the curriculum to, but he was able to study abroad in Japan for a semester.

That's pretty good. I wonder where in Japan he's studying? I think Japanese at Cal State Long Beach goes up to level 500. But do you know if you can you get a Masters of Assosiates degree in Japanese there?

By the way, two days ago I was in a Thai restaurant studying Japanese when a waiter came up and said to me, "You're studying Japanese? I got a BA studying Japanese in Thailand!" Then he went back to gathering dishes from the other tables. No joke.
