Should I transfer from U of A to U of T?

I'm heading into my 4th year (was in general science, just applied to computer science)

My first three years' GPAs are 3.3, 3.4, 3.2 respectively.

Most courses I've taken in the first 2 years are physiology / psychology related. I took a few neuroscience courses in third year and some of those contributed to the lower GPA (I also started taking computer science courses around this time and got As in most of them).

My plan is to go to a good graduate program in cognitive sciences possibly in the States, but I'm also looking at the grad programs at U of A and U of T. I have two options:

1. Stay here and finish my comp sci degree after the next year, and hopefully get a high grade to compensate for my earlier grades.
2. Transfer to U of T, and stay in school an extra 2 years to get my undergrad degree, hopefully with a much higher GPA.

Some other things about me:
-haven't yet taken the GRE, but plan to
-have a few publications on the way
-AHFMR studentship

What should I do?

Considering you're in your 4th year, I'd just stick it out at UA and then worst case, take a few years off before applying to grad school and work during that time. You already have established relationships with professors at UA, so in terms of research experience and recommendations, you'd probably be better off at UA.

U of T is definitely not a school to transfer to if your goal is to improve your gpa.
