Thanks, lukemeister! Have you heard yet?

And can anyone on here from Minnesota or another similarly cold place tell me if little southern me would just DIE up there in the winter? Some people say its awful, and others says it's not so bad. But I also know that if I visit and fall in love with the place, I won't let a bit of weather keep me away.

Hey kgkendall, I live in Madison, Wisconsin, probably just as cold as northfield, and can tell you that it's not as bad as people will say! Trust me, I lived in singapore until i was 11, where it was 90 degrees year round, and had no trouble adjusting to the new weather. Just make sure you bring a winter coat and some boots

Mohojo- I just saw your stats on the results thread, and WOW. Are you definitely going to Carleton? It's my top choice right now, even though I haven't visited. It seems so amazing, so I'm just waiting to visit and fall in love.

My parents think I'm gonna go and hate the cold, but I think I'd be okay. I've been alpine skiing since I was a toddler, so I'm used to some cold weather. And if you are from Singapore and can handle Wisconsin, I can handle Minnesota because I'm sure South Carolina is almost as hot as Singapore.

Does anyone know if they have good cold weather clothing stores in Northfield? There's no place in my hometown where I could find clothes warm enough, so I'd have to get them after I got there.

Kgkendall- Yep! As of right now Carleton is my number one, and that's unlikely to change. Hope to see you in the fall!

kgkendall,

It's my son who's waiting, and no, we haven't heard yet in Colorado.

Carleton has a long break from Thanksgiving week past New Year's Day, so you miss some of the winter. I think you'll be OK with the weather.

Ds is from Texas and handled it just fine. This year was so mild that he was kind of bummed. It's only four years. There's no better time than college for a big adventure. And, yeah, the long break means that you miss six weeks of "bad" stuff. I hope you love it as much as our whole family has.

Not a single clue, I'm in the whole other neck of the woods xDD

But hey, cheer up. We've got Easter coming up down here, so the postal offices are jammed. The package that was sent to me from the US on 25th of February is stuck somewhere at the customs, waiting in the queue or smth. And the US says it's already in my country, so it's definitely the postal customs xDD At this rate I might never receive neither the package, nor the decision.

But you have a chance! Fight for it! To the best of my knowledge, you are the owner of that couple of papers in the envelope. Aaaaand the law says that any given package can spend at one given postal office no more than 24 hrs. <3
