The only thing that concerns me a little is a lot of people have had internships already and i haven't been able to do any of that. i applied for an internship with the district attorney's office, but didn't get a reply (probably because it was a college internship that they said "just go ahead and apply... we'll see what happens").

Let me know what you think my chances are for carleton. Also, if there is anything else i should focus on improving, let me know.

I can't imagine what you could improve on - everything is excellent. Start thinking about your essay and answering the "Why Carleton?" question. Have you visited and interviewed?

Good luck!

Chances look very very good to me. I think if you show interest in the school and put thought into the essays, especially those specific to Carleton then you will have a great chance at admission. The key is interest though, if a school like Carleton believes they are "just another school" on your list, then they will likely reject you or waitlist you regardless of your qualifications. They want people who genuinly want to go to Carleton. Good Luck!!!

Carleton's President Oden has made numerous statements that he has charged the admission's office with the task of admitting passionate learners. Your vitae certainly shows many examples of a passion for learning. Essay-wise, you may want to focus how you delve into one or several of these experiences for learning's sake (if that is indeed how you view your EC's).
